Romulus came to us at four weeks old and quickly won over our
hearts. Through the years he has become a fixture in my Musical career. Romulus was 6' on his hinds and weighed
in at 155+ lbs. In the summer he bleached out to a lighter Grey color, but in the winter he was so dark he was almost
black. He was loved by all who ever knew him.
Romulus
passed away on July 19 2008 with complications associated with an unknown ailment that baffled Vet's Everywhere he was
taken. Everything possible was done to keep him earthbound, but eventually God decided he should run free in the clouds.
We will forever Love & Miss him. He was our truest friend. ":O(
May he run the fields & forrest of heaven.

If it should be that I grow frail and weak,
And pain should keep me from my sleep,
then you must do what
must be done
For this, the last battle, can't be won.
You will be sad, I understand,
Don't let the grief then stay your hand,
For this day more than all the rest
Your love and friendship stand
the test.
We've had so many happy years,
What is to come can hold no fears.
You'd
not want me to suffer so;
When the time comes, please let me go.
Take me where my needs they'll
tend
And stay with me, if you can, to the end.
Hold me firm and speak to me
Until my eyes no longer see.
I know in time, you will see,
It is a kindness you do for me.
Although my tail its last was waved,
From
pain and suffering I've been saved.
Don't grieve that it should be you,
Who must
decide this thing to do,
We've been so close, we two, these years;
Don't let your heart hold any tears.
Smile, for we walked together for a little while.
"IT'S
JUST A LOAN"
“An angel came to me one day,
A ball
of fur in hand.
The angel gave the ball to me,
As we stood there in the sand.
She said to me, "It's
just a loan,
For only a short time."
And she would surely return one day,
For the ball of fur wasn't
mine.
I looked down at the ball of fur,
Two eyes stared back at me.
I fell in love upon that day,
As I
held it close to me.
Years went by and my love grew,
As close friends we became.
I looked down at my ball of
fur,
Life was never again the same.
No matter where I found myself,
My friend would be there, too.
Then
one day the angel came,
I didn’t know what to do.
She said that now the time had come,
To take my friend
back home.
I watched her leave with tear filled eyes,
As I remembered “It's
just a loan.”
